Euroeat renews licensing agreement for Moomin online business in mainland China.
Euroeat is happy to announce the renewal of the licensing agreement for Moomin online shops in mainland China. The agreement also covers Moomin branded products designed and manufactured by Euroeat in China. The agreement was signed between Euroeat Oy and Rights and Brands Asia Ltd.
Rights & Brands Asia is a licensing agency with its headquarters in Hong Kong, catering to Greater China with licensing expertise and a worldwide business network. The company is a joint venture between Scandinavian licensing and literary agency Rights & Brands, Finnish IP owner Moomin Characters, Hong Kong based licensing agent PPW and ITOCHU, one of the largest Japanese general trading companies (“sogo shosha”).
The licensing agreement is for two years, 2022-2023. Under the agreement, Euroeat is authorised to manage and operate Moomin online flagship shops under the “Moomin” retail banner. The agreement also allows Euroeat to develop its own Moomin products according to Moomin Characters guidelines.
This agreement further demonstrates the strategic importance of Euroeat as a long term partner for the Moomin brand in China. The renewal gives us the confidence to further strengthen our investment of resources in this high growth market.
